Do I need to use the chat feature?

No.  While some doctors appreciate the ability to be available to their patients when the patient or doctor is out of the office, others do not.  Because of this, the chat feature can be turned on or off based on doctor’s preference.  Furthermore, this function can be delegated to staff.
